Clair Animal Care is ready to hire a full-time kennel assistant to add to our team of compassionate professionals.
Our fun-loving team is committed to delivering the highest quality care to our clients and patients.
We are looking for someone who loves animals, enjoys being part of a team, and enjoys a fast-paced environment to serve as a kennel assistant Key Responsibilities Walk or exercise animals.
Animals are to be walked 3 times per day unless otherwise instructed by a veterinarian.
Collect and record information such as weight, size, physical condition, food intake, and treats and medication received.
Observe and report abnormal findings to the veterinarian (i.
e.
, vomit, diarrhea, seizure or neurological activities).
Clean and disinfect kennels of in house animals daily.
Transport boarding animals to and from the front lobby.
Restraint of animals of various species.
Administer approved and prescribed medications.
Clean and wash food/water bowls.
Provide food/water to animals.
Perform animal identification Sweep and mop all clinic areas Practice good documentation.
Perform toe nail trims.
Perform baths and light shaving as needed.
Keep a clean and organized workspace.
Other duties as needed.
Requirements/Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent work experience Demonstrates knowledge and ability to learn new task.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to push/pull up to 100lbs.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Ability to work with and clean up after pets of all species Ability to perform repetitive and strenuous activities that required standing or stooping/crouching.
Withstand exposure to intermittent high temperatures/humidity.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work weekends and holidays as necessary.
